I am proud to announce the production and distribution of the new BSB #1 Bernie Parent cigar, exclusively prepared by Rocky Patel. Being a cigar enthusiast, I am delighted and honored to have built a relationship with Rocky Patel and company, and to be a part of this process every step of the way.
The BSB#1 Bernie Parent cigars, which were developed by Mish Patel himself, are comprised of an Ecuadorian Havana seed wrapper, a medium to full body blend, and packaged in a dedicatory orange and black box, of course. The bands around the cigar are even in the shape of goalie pads.
This experience is unique and exciting, and I can’t wait to hear some feedback after the debut of the initial 500 boxes. Visit the Rocky Patel Premium Cigars site at www.rockypatel.com or check with your favorite cigar shop to see if they’ll be available near you.

Back-bay anglers are getting their share of summer flounder all day, but not many keepers. The bigger fish seemed to gather along the edges of the deeper drop-offs like along channels, and the sloughs were blanketed with shorts. Bluefish, surprisingly larger ones 3 to 5 pounds, worked all over the bay, and striped bass held in the bay. But the stripers were often dialed up along the bridges on spots. Kingfish roamed the surf, and not much was heard about fishing from the shore. In the ocean many of the sharks seemed to move north, but smaller ones were around. Bluefin tuna were boated at places like Lemke’s Canyon and the 750 Square. Noting happening at the Cigar. Everyone trolled for the bluefins, instead of chunking. The northern canyons such as the Lindy and the Carteret to the Hudson seemed to be places for yellowfin tuna and bigeye tuna that were being caught. Mahi mahi were occasionally picked up. Blue marlin were dusted here and there. The southern canyons also produced the tuna and big game. Canyon fishing seemed to start happening, and many anglers seemed yet to make the trip. Catches could continue, but go now to not miss out. Have a safe and Happy 4th of July !
It seems as if the Striper run is slowing down but the back bays are getting Fluke. The only problem is they’re mostly throw backs. Recent hot spots are Rainbow, Corson’s Inlet.
King Fish have begun to come in strong off of Ocean City and Wildwood, hitting on Bloodworm on incoming tides. Fishing out in the Old Grounds and the Cape may Reef site 11 is getting stronger with some nice weight.
Offshore , mako, blue and thresher shark fishing is picking up in the Northern areas at the Misty Blue wreak and the Cigar. We are also finding blue fin tuna in the same area as the sharks on the troll with feathers, plugs and Zukers.
Have a good weekend fishing boys and send in some pictures of what your catching we will post them on the site.
