Ninth Annual Gene Hart Memorial Golf
By Bernie | July 26, 2008
Last monday I played in the Gene Hart Memorial Golf outing. What a great time it was seeing old friends. The Hart famliy does a outstanding job along with Temple University. Proceeds from the outing benefit the new HDR Brachytherapy Suite within the Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital.
Gene was such a big part of the Flyers Family. I had many laughs with him and miss him dearly.
Another old friend that I had the pleasure of seeing that day was Marcel Pelletier. We go way back and I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

i really miss the excitment he brought to the games. it was good to see him in the parade pictures. if there is a heaven i am sure he is keeping track of all of you. take comfort in that. are any of these tournaments televised that you play in. you should let us know in advance if they are bye and have a good day

Barry Ashbee
Beside being a great Hockey player he was a great team player. He was a true family man and I was glad to call him my friend. He was one of the true Broad Street Bully guys on the team allways looking out for each other.

thank you bernie. i remember when he died it was very sad. i have often wondered how all of you can play when something tragic like him and pele die so young. i understand you were very close with pele and please accept my sympathy. we are all i am sure glad that you look so healthy and happy. ah the broad street bullies the few games i got to se live i was always glad when there were not many fights but all the people around me wanted to see blood. i really could not understand that. thank you again d

i like the picture of you and marcel pelletier. in all the pictures of you with a friend you always look like you care so much and are always so willing to give credit to others. don’t forget without your own natural talent none of it would have been possible. so while giving others credit you must also give it to yourself. bye
