Hi Bernie….My son and I will be there tomorrow…Watching from the Hall Of Fame Box…Can’t wait to see the GREATEST GENERATION of Hockey Players….
Only the lord saves more than Bernie !
Love ya Bernie & can’t wait to watch you live tomorrow!
That stick will look great on my wall!!
I was 11 years old,and got talked into joining a school floor hockey league. I got picked for the Flyers and was told that I was going to play goalie. It was 1972,and the allstar game was on TV, Bernie was the allstar goalie, and that’s who idolized. Our town had gotten a NAHL franchise, went to my first game, I was hooked. We got cable and Ranger/Islanders -Flyer games were on. We eventually had a street hockey team. I had Cooper mitts, Sherwood goalie stick, and a mask like Bernie’s(but it was painted like Wayne Stephenson’s ) ,but I was Bernie of the streets. For Christmas one year I got a t shirt with a picture of the time magazine cover on it. I watched in horror when he got hit in the face against the Rangers, I was heartbroken. Orange and Black have been my colors for 39 years now, I was absolutely thrilled on Tuesday when Bernie replied to my tweet about going to practice. I’m very excited about Saturdays game and can’t wait to watch it, DVR set up too.
Hi Bernie. My name is Jim Lapent My father just passed away and upon cleaning out his apt.I found one of your Golie stick.I did some research it looks like you may have used this stick in the Stanley cup series in 1974. I’m a Hugh flyers fan and have been following the Flyers for a long time,I also as a young boy went to a cup game in 1974 and that started my love for the Flyers.Would it be possible for you to look at the stick and possibly sign it for me.

Dear Bernie, i am 15 years old and a huge flyers fan. i never witnesses you played before and i am looking foward to the alumni game. i brings great pleasure to see all of the greatest known flyers to once get back onto the ice and play for the fans that they love. you are by far the best and greatese goalie ever to play the game. growing up, my dad looked up to you and many of the other Flyer greats. thank you so much and good luck on Saturday, can’t wait. Bernie is one of the greatest and it would be wonderful to have an autographed stick.
hello
I think you should give it to your old neighbor! …. Me!!
Would love to win that autographed stick Bernie! Can’t wait to see you play tomorrow.
I remember spendind time sitting in Slacks on aramingo ave in a snow storm years ago . My two boys still talk about it till this day how nice and down to earth you were to talk with. They loved your stories you told . We sat there for two hours just talking and thanks to the snow not many people showed up. Its hard to beleive that we got a chance to sit down and talk to one of phillys greatest sports legends for two hours and enjoyed every minute of it . My youngest boy boy just got a chance to play for Ed Snyder Hockey and he loves the sport . thanks again for being a class act and we wish you and yours a safe and happy new year. jen
THIS WOULD BE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GREAT
THIS WOULD BR SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GREAT
Love Bernie!
Awesome!!!!
I look at you and a flood of memories come back. My Dad who passed away in 1994 was a season ticket holder from “day one.” As a kid we would have the opportunity to attend the games when my godfather couldn ‘t go. In fact, my 28-year-old daughter went to her first Flyers game when she was only months old! If I were the lucky person chosen for your stick, I wouldn’t know which of my three brothers I would give it to. Our entire family were fans! Maybe we could all share it!
Thank you for this opportunity! I hope you have a very healthy and happy new year!

Hiya Bernie! I’m the young kid in the Phillies gear who got my picture taken with you.
You did GREAT in the Alumni Game!! I knew you could do it.
Your the most amazing goaltender I’ve ever met! You are a great friend to me.
My 4 year old daughter even knows, ONLY THE LORD SAVES MORE THAN BERNIE! She loves to sing “God Bless America” then grab her mini goalie stick and say … Starting in Goal for the Philadelphia Flyers, Danielle Parent!
My 7 year old son tells me she can’t be a goalie, only boys can. And he’s Matthew Parent. Then they fight about it.
Oh, well! At least they have their priorities.
